SkoolBook includes an AI Tutor in the same portal as the student's homework, marks and timetable. It answers the same question a fourth time with exactly the same patience, it is told to teach rather than hand over the answer, and every session is kept as a transcript a school can look at.

Tuned to the student's board, grade and subject
A session is opened for a specific board, subject and grade, and the tutor is instructed to draw its examples from that board's syllabus and to stay on that subject.
It teaches rather than answers
For homework-style questions it is instructed to work through the reasoning and guide the student to the answer, not to state it — the difference between a study aid and a way to finish homework without learning anything.

The third and fourth attempt at the same concept get the same answer quality as the first — which is the entire value for the student who is behind.
Every session is a stored transcript
Questions and answers are kept per session and can be reviewed by staff. An AI talking to children unsupervised and unrecorded is not something a school should accept, from us or anyone else.
Inside the portal, inside the tenancy
The tutor sits behind the same login and the same per-school isolation as everything else. A parent cannot open a session against a child who is not theirs — the database refuses it, not just the screen.

Frequently asked
Is the AI Tutor switched on by default?
No. It is an explicit enablement step for a deployment rather than something that is simply on, so confirm it is switched on for your school before you plan around it. We would rather say that here than let you find the switch in month two.
Does it answer from our school's own uploaded material?
Not today, and this is worth being exact about because the phrase "grounded in your syllabus" gets used very loosely. The tutor is told which board, subject and grade it is helping with and to use examples from that syllabus, but it does not retrieve from material your school has uploaded — there is no study-material upload in SkoolBook. If answers grounded in your own notes and textbooks are what you actually need, say so early, because that is a different piece of work.
Is there a per-student usage cap?
Not at present. There is no per-student session or message limit in the product today, so if you are sizing AI usage for a large cohort that is a conversation to have with us up front rather than an assumption to make. A cap is a sensible thing to want and we would rather agree it explicitly than imply one that isn't there.
Can our school use its own AI provider account?
Not in SkoolBook today — the tutor runs on the platform's own provider credentials, not per-school keys. If your school needs its own provider relationship and its own billing for AI, raise it, because it changes how this is set up.
